Why wait New Years resolution day to start losing weight?

New Years Day and well here we are again, we made it all the way around the sun. We had wishes and dreams, hopes and sorrows. Each of us started last year with the wide, child like eyes in hopes of achieving new and marvelous things. Some of us hit all our marks, some not so much. 
 I have to be honest, I have never understood the holiday. I know.. bah hum bug. I mean I understand how we see this day as a new start and hope that we can make a change, BUT I ask why not any other day? What makes us focus on this one day.
New Years Day marks the most popular day for people to start losing weight. Again, why not any other day? Why keep pushing the days away telling yourself, "Yup January 1st then I'll change." I ask that question because frankly not one day is guaranteed and to put off what could possibly us change and grow our days is well to me a waste of the gift we have been given.
 Our lives are fragile and each day itself should be seen as a miracle. If some one sparks change in us DO IT, don't wait until the New Years resolution day. Every day is a new day and new chance. Grab it while you still can.
